Medium Small is the creative practice of Brandt Hewitt and Megan McGuinn. We met in architecture school, where we began our long term creative partnership. We make furniture and lighting, focusing on high-quality, small-batch production in our San Francisco workshop. An outsized output from a minimal footprint—we're nimble, experimental, and we love what we do.

Our work is process-driven, informed by materials and critical exploration through sketching and prototyping. Our design language is grounded in a combination of handcraft, digital technologies and industrial tooling. Working across a range of scales and mediums, we approach each project with innate curiosity and a multidisciplinary lens. Paired with our project management expertise and design savvy, this model allows us to keep our studio compact and our work versatile—all while ensuring high standards of quality control.
